SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
*We anticipate each division will be approximately 60-90 minutes long*
Exact times of arrival will be given out the week of the event.  Times listed below are simply a guess at this point.

• 9:00AM JUDGES MEETING
  Rules discussion and ring assignments.
  Black belts and school owners will go over how the rules will work for the day and to cover any questions in advance so that the day goes smooth for everyone
  
  
• 9:30AM DEMO
  The Sorce Demo Team will get things kicked off with an exciting performance.
  
  
• 10:00AM  BLACK BELT & Pre-School Divisions COMPETITION begins 
  Teen and Adult Black Belts will compete first as they will then judge for the remainder of the event.  Pre-school divisions will begin as well.
  The Black Belts will lead the way, competing first and then the rest of the competitors will follow.   Simultaneously we will begin divisions for Pre-School divisions (Little Tigers/Dragons) as well.   Little Ninjas/Dragons will compete in Technique, Board Breaking (special boards for them) and then Flag Sparring.  All boards will be located at the competitor's ring in advance.  No need to pick up.

• 11:00AM?? YOUTH BELTS 5-8 YEAR OLDS
  YOUTH STUDENTS WHITE to BLACK BELT 5, 6, 7 & 8-year-olds
   The Youth Belts will compete in Form , Board Breaking  and Sparring.   All boards will be located at the competitor's ring in advance.  No need to pick up.

• 12:30PM?? YOUTH BELTS 9-12 YEAR OLDS
  YOUTH STUDENTS WHITE to BLACK BELT 9, 10, 11 & 12 year-olds

  TEEN and ADULT STUDENTS WHITE to Pre-BLACK/Black Belt Prep

HERE ARE OUR MOST COMMON QUESTIONS ANSWERED UP FRONT

• CAN WE REGISTER ON SITE  ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT?
  No.  We have decided to make all registrations be in advance in order to make sure the tournament runs on time as scheduled.  We are sorry if this causes an issue for any possible competitors, but we do ask you to register by October 1st at the VERY latest (register by September 27th for the lowest entry fee price)

• CAN BRAND NEW STUDENTS (i.e. White Belts) COMPETE?
  YES!  We have specially designed divisions JUST for Beginners, both in the Pre-school ages and in the 6-12 year old divisions.  We call it a "LEARNER" division as it is designed to help these new students learn how to compete by letting them do what they know so far.  They will compete in Technique performing Front Kicks and Punches.  Whomever does it with the best power, precision and balance will get the best score.  They will get to break two boards for the Board Breaking event as well (using breaks of their choice).  Lastly,   they will compete in Flag Sparring to help give them a sense of the strategy involved in sparring at the next level.  White Belt level is a GREAT level to get started!

• WHAT IS THE VENUE FOR THE EVENT THIS YEAR?
  YES!.  We will be at South Milwaukee High School once again this year.   We look forward to a great event at this wonderful facility once again.
• WILL THERE BE FOOD AT THE EVENT? 
  NO.  Again, with how efficient the tournament is, most every competitor was in and out within 90 minutes the past couple of years so we will not being offering a full concession stand.  However we are planning to sell drinks.  
  
  
• WHY ARE THERE SO MANY ARRIVAL TIMES?
  We decided that using more specific arrival times helps make the day a more enjoyable one for competitors (and parents) with busy schedules.  We will announce exact arrival times once we have all competitors registered, but until then we approximate starting the first division around 9:00 with each division being about 60-90minutes long.  
  
  
• DO I HAVE TO STAY UNTIL THE END?   
  No.  When your division is complete,  you may leave if you like, however  there is plenty of space if you would like to stay and watch also.  
  
  
• CAN I USE MORE BOARDS THAN WHAT IS LISTED IN THE RULES?
  No. We want the event to be fair, competitive and fluid, so we ask everyone to use the number of boards listed in the rules.  
  
  
• WILL I NEED SPARRING EQUIPMENT?
  YES, but only if you are sparring. We want all competitors who are sparring to be safe, so we require all sparring competitors to have the following items:
  Chest Gear, Head Gear, Forearm guards and/or Gloves, Shin/instep or foot guards, mouth guard and (for Males) a groin protector.  Please purchase these items in advance of the competition (see your instructor in order to purchase).  
  
  
• CAN I ORDER A T-SHIRT EVEN IF I'M NOT COMPETING?
  Absolutely!  We usually have a number of parents and other family members of competitors wanting a shirt as well as they are pretty cool looking.  So ORDER AWAY!
